SAW

Southampton, NY - 80°

SAW is a creative space in Southampton, New York, established in 2025 by artist John Margaritis of New York Sunshine. Conceived as both a working studio and an exhibition site, SAW invites artists to build, design, and develop their practices within a thoughtfully designed environment that values process as much as presentation.

At ground level, a 1,500-square-foot white-walled gallery offers a quiet, light-filled setting for viewing work. With its soaring 20-foot ceilings and restrained architectural detailing, the space provides a contemplative atmosphere for both artists and visitors. Beneath this building sits the functioning 3,000-square-foot workshop where John has originated both his own works of art and, with his father Albert, Creations made from wood, metal, ceramics, concrete, and other materials.

SAW now welcomes artists from a range of disciplines to live and work on site through a residency program that includes housing, studio access, and opportunities for private viewings by appointment. Located on the East End of Long Island, SAW offers a calm and focused setting for the development of new work—where materials, ideas, and forms take shape in real time.
